Charge Across Town, a nonprofit organization based in San Francisco, offered free test drives for a wide range of fun and exciting electric vehicles at Palo Alto City Hall. According to Maureen Blanc, the Director of Charge Across Town, the event was designed to showcase electric as the new ‘fuel’ and to inspire people to move away from gas consumption through a non-commercial, fun experience. The event featured a range of electric cars, along with electric bicycles, scooters and even skateboards– all free to try or test drive.
Palo Alto is already a leader in the use of electric vehicles. Visit the EV Week website to learn more about Charge Across Town and this regional effort to build interest in electric vehicles.
