Palo Alto Perry, a stuffed replica of the actual donkeys that live at Bol Park, covered a lot of ground during his term as goodwill ambassador for the city.

Between May 2nd and July 5th, Perry was escorted by everyone from elected officials to firefighters and school children and visited almost

every neighborhood in Palo Alto. Based on the photos from Perry’s Facebook page, it looks like he accomplished his goal of spreading positive community spirit wherever he went.

Perry made it to youtube!

Local singer Josh Friedman even wrote a song for Perry and posted it on youtube.

A simple idea for spreading love and community

The idea for Perry came from the “Love of Palo Alto” event last winter and it’s wonderful to see how the community embraced this fun symbol of what makes Palo Alto such a great place to live.
